Hello Friends! Well, it's official. TikTok will be sold, and a US-only version of the app will become required for American users to download if they wish to continue usage. What this means is that I will not be continuing my social media presence on TikTok once that transition occurs. I have also deleted my Instagram account so that I am no longer active on Meta. "Where do I find you?" you might ask. Currently I have a presence on Tome, and I have begun to focus my posting updates on BlueSky again. I have no idea how long these two platforms will continue to maintain its independence in this country given the current circumstances, but for now, that is where I am at while I wind things down on TikTok. As always, the best way to stay updated without relying on an algorithm is to sign up for my mailing list. This is a direct-to-your-inbox method of updating you on any news such as book releases, in-person events, and other little tidbits. I only email people once a quarter when things are quiet, and once a month if things are busy. It's a fantastic way to get updates directly from me when there is actually something to share, and it means you won't miss out on any pertinent information that you actually want to know about. It's been a while since I've given an update, so let me formally announce that I will be attending a small in-person event in Spring Hill, TN on Saturday, September 27th from 10am - 1pm. The details have been marked on the site event calendar, and you can get the full rundown directly from the Spring Hill Public Library event post. I will be selling and signing copies of my first two books: Key of Arcandus and Obligation's Unity. Additionally, I will be taking pre-orders for my upcoming debut romantasy: An Oath to the Winter Winds. For those who signed up for my mailing list, I will be sending out a digital goodie this month in anticipation of AOttWW's release! Keep your eyes open for when that comes to your inboxes. For those who are not yet signed up, now is the perfect time to do so! It's been a hot minute since my last update, but that's because I've been working hard to get these next two projects to their respective finish lines. But it's a new month, and about time to let you know where the fruits of my labor have brought us.
While those two projects are reaching their respective finish lines, what's next in store for the Carving Legacies series? Book Three Yes, it's finally time to tackle the next installment in Siroun and Lyonesse's respective journeys, and bring them together. Technically the initial draft for book three was completed back in 2023. But after going back and taking a look at everything I had written, the manuscript just didn't meet the moment for me, and there were a lot of other ideas and connections I wanted to bridge together after working through An Oath to the Winter Winds.
There are two new characters coming into the group, and I wanted to make their involvement go even deeper into the overall vision I have not just for the Carving Legacies series, but the subsequent series I plan to write after this one. So, I laid a little bit of the groundwork in AOttWW, and there will be another supplemental standalone in the works for the pair that leads them into the events of book three. Don't worry, these additional projects will not supersede book three's schedule. It's been too long since the release of Obligation's Unity, and I know folks are hungry for what happens next. I've mapped out my production schedule from 2025 through 2027, and assuming the world around me doesn't upend my life (IYKYK), then there should be a lot of new content coming down the pike in the next couple of years. Yes, yes... I know "years" is a long wait. But epic fantasy stories have a lot of moving parts and pieces, and each time I come back to this world I want to make sure each chapter you read is either connected, completed, or laying the groundwork for something else in the future. For now I am only selling physical copies of my books. I still rely on 3rd party retailers with their DRM services to handle the ebooks. But I have a desire to make digital goods available for purchase on my site in the future. I just don't know how and when I plan to tackle that challenge. I also plan to setup deals for libraries and book groups who want to support my work. Stay tuned for that coming down the pike. In the meantime, I highly recommend you sign up for my mailing list as I will sometimes include coupon codes for the shop. Thanks to the love and support of a certain individual in my life, Key of Arcandus will be getting an audio book adaptation by the illustrious PAIGE REISENFELD!  I cannot begin to explain how excited I am to have Paige narrating my debut book! Work begins in March of this year, and Paige typically does live streams of her narrations on her TikTok channel. Also, don't forget to visit her website and sign up for her newsletter for all of her latest audio book projects, news, and updates. Currently I do not have a formal release date set for the audio book, but I'm aiming for sometime in 2025 if everything comes together in a timely fashion.

It's been a while since anything has moved on this site. 2024 was very busy in my personal life, which meant my author exploits had to be put on the back burner. A lot of people are good at multi-tasking big things in their life, but I am not. To that, I apologize. But now that the dust has settled, I can focus on my stories again, especially during these extreme and turbulent times. MAILING LIST IS NOW ACTIVE! With the landscape of social media becoming increasingly unpredictable, it's become more prudent than ever to create a separate space for my readers to enjoy. With that said, I have officially created a mailing list that you can now join! Head over to the CONTACT page, scroll to the bottom, and complete the sign-up process. It will ask you to confirm your email before you're officially added, and you will receive a welcome email. If you continue to have issues, complete the contact form and let me know. 2025 - 2027 PROJECT LANDSCAPE Now that my family and I are settled into our new space, I've begun the process of mapping out my next set of book projects and their time tables. Obviously, one goes in with the best of intentions and reaches the finish line having taken many alternate routes along the way (and often never on time). But the next three years I'll be filling out more of the Carving Legacies space with the installment of Book 3, along with two separate Romantasy standalones of my favorite couples both new and established. I'll also be looking to expand into other works that are not related to the world of Clayne, but remain within the fantasy genre. These include a Sailor Moon-inspired duology, and something on the cozier side of things. However, these projects will always take a backseat to anything Carving Legacies related; so worry not.
