The Shop is OPEN!

That's right! You can now purchase physical copies of all my published works directly from me! Why is this a good thing?

1. Better pricing. With 3rd party retailers, I'm forced to increase my prices to cover the printing, distribution fees, and the mandatory distributor profit compensation percentages (typically around 35% or higher). This leaves me with receiving less than $1 in compensation after your purchase. When you buy directly from me, I can set a lower price point AND earn a reasonable return margin since I only need to cover the printing costs and the transaction fees.
2. Direct financial support of the author. Cutting out the middle man allows me to take my deserved cut of the profit margins so that I can finance future books and products. (Maybe even pay bills with the funds some day. That would be nice.)
3. Better product. 3rd party retailers don't care what condition you receive your book(s). So if you make a return due to them getting lost, damaged, or poorly printed by Ingramspark, the distributor dumps the full cost of that return in my lap, even if it's their fault. By purchasing directly from me, I weed out the badly printed copies and only ship New conditioned books to you. I also ensure they're properly packaged so that you receive it in New condition. This greatly reduces the risk of return costs on my end, and gives you a better overall purchasing experience.
4. I sign every book that's purchased through my storefront. 'Nuff said.
5. There is a chance you might receive freebies in your order! Everyone likes free stuff, and typically I include a matching bookmark for each book you buy. There is also a chance you might be gifted other tidbits of merch that ended up being overstock from in-person events. You never know!

For now I am only selling physical copies of my books. I still rely on 3rd party retailers with their DRM services to handle the ebooks. But I have a desire to make digital goods available for purchase on my site in the future. I just don't know how and when I plan to tackle that challenge.

I also plan to setup deals for libraries and book groups who want to support my work. Stay tuned for that coming down the pike.
